CO-TOP Future Directions

CO-TOP classes each carry one hour of undergraduate credit from the University of Colorado Denver through the Division of Continuing Professional Education. There are three tuition payment options available.

• Option 1: Districts may offer CO-TOP Academies at the tuition rate of $90.00 per credit hour. Under this option, The PAR²A Center pays the CO-TOP trained instructor at the standard rate. There must be at least eighteen to twenty (18-20) participants in the class. Under this payment option, either the participants themselves or the district may provide the payment.
• Option 2: Districts may offer CO-TOP Academies at the tuition rate of $60.00 per credit hour. Under this option, the district pays the CO-TOP trained instructor at whatever rate they negotiate directly with the instructor. There is no limit on the number of participants in the class, except those imposed by the district. Under payment Option 2, either the participants themselves or the district may provide the payment.
• Option 3: The PAR²A Center pays tuition at the full rate using funds controlled by the University of Colorado Denver. The tuition payment is contingent upon the conditions of the funding source and must be cleared with the CO-TOP Coordinator prior to the establishment of the course. The PAR²A Center remains prepared to offer the TOPCAT seminar but will require a registration fee. Graduate credit for participants will be available at an additional cost.
