Research

The PAR²A Center conducts research that generates new information about the employment, training, utilization and supervision of paraprofessionals. Paraprofessionals work in typical classrooms, early intervention services, special education, linguistically diverse education, and Title I programs, as well as in school library / media centers, health rooms, playgrounds, lunchrooms, and on school buses. The purpose of this research is to help policy makers use new knowledge for making key decisions in school districts and Community Centered Boards regarding employment and training practices.
