Getting Started

Review the Policies and Procedures: Familiarize yourself with the requirements and guidelines outlined in the Intervener Microcredentials and Certification - Policies and Procedures.

Attend an Information Session: Join one of our quarterly NICE information sessions for additional details about the process and application. Contact Dr. Ritu Chopra at ritu.chopra@ucdenver.edu for more information.

A Brief Overview of the Process:

  1. Select a Microcredential: Choose the CEC Intervener Standard you want to focus on.
  2. Gather Evidence: Collect documentation, work samples, videos, and other artifacts that demonstrate your competence in the chosen standard.
  3. Submit Your Portfolio: Upload your completed portfolio to the NICE platform.
  4. Expert Review: Your portfolio will be reviewed by two members of the NICE Review Board.
  5. Earn Your Microcredential: Achieve a score of 75% or higher to earn your microcredential badge and certificate.
  6. Full NICE Certification: Complete all seven microcredentials to earn full NICE Certification!
